Was a good fest and well worth the visit.. Nicely spread out and the
gardens are fab. Great thing about the fest is that ALL the gardens are
open even the bits not normally accessible to the public. As well as
plants (for sale and show) the falconry display was fairly enjoyable..

Free (of extra charge) garden tours were quite good with guide
knowledgeable and willing to talk more afterwards and answer questions.

Food: average.. possibly I'd have been better off with a hot meal and
not one of their ciabatta's which were definitely mass produced though
edible.! Usual baguette, Fish and chip vans were there also so plenty
of choice.

Yes the thunderstorm did come across that way and the marquees began to
flood.. Anyone with open shoes got wet feet more or less;-)

Would say its worth a visit next year especially if you've never been to
hatfield house & gardens before.
