Default Buddleia Advice wanted please

The really annoying thing is, I see buddleia growing wild and
completely untended that has thicker, denser blooms than mine!

I work at a Railway depot which has hundreds of these plants growing wild, I
rather like them. Is it possible to dig up a small one or take a cutting
from a larger specimen and plant it in my garden. If so when is the best
time of year to do this?

Hi

I take cutting in early summer non woody about 4 inches long put them in a pot around the outside, put that in a garden frame and they're normally rooted in a month.
My mother used to to put woody cuttings about 12 inches long in a milk bottle with a pinch of phosphergen and filled with water roots come after a fortnight.
