I just hang them up in a warm place. If you can find someone who uses
sacks with stitched tops, ask them to save you a few 'pulls'. These are
strong thin cord, and work admirably. I dry mushrooms on them too.

Just think 'warm and dry'. In other words in a green house or in your
own house in a warm, dry spot.
Good luck

Also consider freezing them. Open freeze them so they are separate then bag,
you can then take out however many you want to defrost. They freeze/defrost
well.

Pick them, clean them (whole), place on a tray and freeze. When frozen,
transfer from the tray to a bag, and return to the freezer. Take out a
couple when you need them - very easy. We're still using up last years
crop - just as well really as this years chillies are running incredibly
late!

I pickle them in vinegar.
