Has anyone else noticed a marked increase in butterflies? Only a year or so
ago we were bemoaning the falling numbers but this year is wonderful! Almost
makes up for this also being The Year of the Bindweed!

Apparently those of you in the South are getting a lot of migrants from
the continent as the prevailing winds have been favourable. Say that,
however, I have certainly seen far more in the last week than usual, and
more variety as well.

We've had loads as well Sacha. The Eryngium have never been so blue as
this year and never had so many insects feeding on them, including
butterflies! Funnily enough not as many wasps as normal. However more
bees..........
