Default Compost bin worms

Can anyone help please? My worms have deserted the compost bin. Can
anyone tell me why, and what shall I do?

Ann

Default Compost bin worms

Is it waterlogged or too dry, that's all I can imagine as they usually throw
parties in the compost heap

Too dry?

Keep the bin moist, and wait till the weather gets cooler.

Hello Ann
I was advised to start my compost heap with a couple of shovel fulls of good
garden soil.
It worked a treat, a couple of years ago I caught my next door neighbour (a
keen fisherman) grovelling about in my heap in the dead of night collecting
fishing bait
