Dead Willow tree
Can anyone help diagnose the disease that has killed two willow trees
and a viburnum opulus over the past two years? The symptoms have been ten same in all three cases. The trees were growing normally and apparently healthily. Then over a period of a few days the leaves shriveled (but did not fall) and the whole tree was dead. All three were in the same part of the garden. Nearby trees and a mixed native headgerow have been unafftected. A picture of the latest victim can bee seen at: http://www.manpart.clara.net/garden2/dead_willow.htm TIA -- Colin Mansell The Mansell Partnership |
