That depends on how you wish the plant to grow.. Pinching out isn't a
'necessary' action that happens in nature though it may be replicated by
browsing animals etc. Generally plants are pinched out on tip growth
when you wish a more bushy habit with more flowers/fruit, or pinched out
at the sides when you want a more upright or singular growth of flowers
or fruit.

Specifics of which plants you have would be helpful
