Instead, I received another set of voting papers after 12 hours. Do I fill in the second lot, thereby possibly spoiling my vote by attempting to vote twice? The proper course of action is to email the votetaker on the specific address given - - which was in the CFV and I have separately noted in u.r.g As I said in the other thread, votes are checked manually and are not on the end of an autoresponder & the votetaker will acknowledge a vote within 5 days as the CFV states. As it happens, I shall be checking votes again in a short while so you can expect email. FWIW, if the Ballot ID is identical on both the original from the UKV server and my email to yourself then you would not spoil your vote, the later vote would merely supersede the earlier vote. One of the reasons for issuing Ballot IDs is that you can use the same ID to change your vote. If the IDs are different then voting again would spoil your vote. Many thanks.Pedt. Franz |
