Broken Kilmarock Willow

I got a Kilmarnock willow and planted it at the weekend. Someone has broken
the stem of the tree in 2!! I think it was kids.

What I want to know is, can the tree be repaired in any way now?

Only a small amount of stem is on the top part :o(

Try fitting the two halves together as neatly as possible, tie a splint to
it and bind tightly with strong tape (not string, it'll cut in too much).
With a bit of luck it'll heal. It's no different really to grafting onto a
rootstock, just a bit more messy.

Won't do much good if the kids come back and do the same again though :-(
