Spinach
 
Anyone any experience of growing this on dry sandy soil .......no shortage
of compost to dig in or pile on the bed though

Sow now for a spring harvest and September for an autumn one. Don't
bother with a summer crop - it will just bolt.

Of course, I am referring to Cambridge. Things may be different in
the west.

Sow now for a spring harvest and September for an autumn one. Don't
bother with a summer crop - it will just bolt.
