The leeks are begining to run to seed, are they still fit to eat?

mine are doing that too... I'm asuming they are edible tho - i suspect they
may just be a bit woody?

Alan, I still have the last few grown from the seed you sent last
year. They aren't very thick but have been OK so far apart from a few
which developed a hard core, prior to flowering.
I am trying something suggested by Bob Flowerdew. You cut the leek
just above the roots and new leeks will grow. I cannot yet say if it
will work.
