Default Caterpillars on Aquilegia

Our Aquilegia are being eaten alive by tiny green caterpillars, and the
wrens won't eat them.

Are they something worthwhile, or should I give them the soapy water

....... they are Gods little creatures!
Of course they are worthwhile.
Sacrificing an Aquilegia to balance the eco-system seems a small price
