Dead-deading poppies/hardy geraniums
 

have some poppies growing out front, sorry don't know what variety, the were here when i arrived, but is it worth dead-deading them? will it stimulate it to produce more flowers

what about hardy geraniums? they're about to burst into flower too?

By all means dead-head them if you have the time, as that will
definitely prolong their flowering life.

No.

what about hardy geraniums? they're about to burst into flower too?

No point in dead heading individually, but once the plant has finished
flowering, it can be worth getting rid of all the flower stems to tidy
up the plant.

No.

I have poppies which like to be cut down to the ground after they
have flowered and the leaves start to go brown. Then they come
up again and reflower later in the year.

Although I love the flowers, I accept that there is no such thing as a
tidied up Papaver orientalis.
