Lonicera tellmanniana dropping flowers

bought two of these honeysuckle and to be honest neither have grown massively in last couple of months since planting in April. Maybe they take a while to get established but the henryi variety i bought has put on huge amounts of new growth.

all soil is acidic, and one tellmanniana flowers are now opening with only an occasional flower dropped, but the other tellmanniana has dropped almost all its flowers. The flowers left on this plant are either only single or double flowers when they should be multiple. this plant gets less sun the other, but only very marginally, and they've both been kept well watered.

any suggestions? thanks

They are sun-loving honeysuckles. You may be overwatering the one
in shade. In my case (on sandy soil), the thing that gets the one
in shade is aphids.
