Truly lovely,decorative and rare vintage gardening book. 1903 By Irwin
Lynch Bodley Head
Very good condition,hardback .

Everything to do with the Cultivation ,Hybridising,selection of the
Iris in all it's forms. Also indexes of botanical and popular
names,hybrids etc. Very scarce.

Actually, I don't think it's scarce at all. Even here in the
colonies, copies turn up with some regularity.

It was part of a series and I suspect sold very well at the time,
hence copies abound to this day.

For anyone interested in old gardening books qua old, maybe, but
for anyone interested in irises, woefully out of date.

Sorry to pop your bubble, but old doesn't necessarily mean
desirable.
