Default Laying log roll

Does anyone have any advice on how to lay log roll to make a raised bed. Do
I need to bed it in concrete - if so what cement/ballast/water mixture
should I use?

TIA,

Ian

I find that sinking roll 2ins or so in soil then compacting is
adequate enough to retain border . Of course you have to allow for
this when deciding on which size to purchase etc.

Ian, I made a raised bed using log roll some 10 years ago at my last house.
I bedded the ends into a weak concrete mix, but can't remember the mix. I
noticed last week that it still looks as good as new! This link might offer
some advice, http://www.pavingexpert.com/
regards,
David
