Default Corky scab on cacti

I have a number of cacti that have developed a corky scab on their
surfaces. I know that in part this is due to near-criminal neglect by
their owner (mea culpa), as they were put into a semi-derelict
greenhouse when we moved here and almost totally ignored for about
three years.

One in particular (Lobivia jajoiana paucicostata it says on the label)
is so badly effected that the top has completely died. However it is
sprouting babes from lower down, and I would like to save it, or it's
offspring, as it has rather attractive flowers. When the babes get a
bit bigger I shall remove them and pot them up, and look after them
better, honest!

But is there anything I can use to discourage this corky scab, like a
fungicide or whatever?

It could be spider mite damage. Treat accordingly.
