Default Runner Beans - Seed Collection

Brian wrote in message ...
Earlier this year I acquired a nmber of seedlings of an unnamed variety

of
runner bean.
They cropped well and are still cropping. I also liked the taste.
Thus I would like to save seed.
I have heard that if you leave some pods to mature on the plants that

will
immediately stop cropping.
Others disagree.
Could I have some expert opinion on this and also at what stage I should
pick the pods if I am saving seed.

Depending on the variety, the beans may not regrow true to the type you had,
if they were a hybrid it's unlikely they will run try to type.
