Default seeds for sale

All £1/pack plus p/p. Email me for packet scans, or any questions you
may have. If you don't know about them you've got to see them...

-Cow's Udders (Solanum mammosum, aka. Nipple Fruit, Sodom's Apples):
very amusing plant that bears orange fruits that look very much like cow
udders, a bit smaller than an egg. Great for flower arrangement, or to
get children interested in botany/gardening (but first make sure they do
not eat the fruit which is poisonous, and second you may wish to not
tell them about the less savoury names by which it is known...). Also
fresh material for flower arrangement. Best suited for greenhouses or
conservatories as this is a tropical/subtropical plant. Seeds germinate
in 2 weeks at 20-25 degrees centigrade.

-Bitter gourds (Momordica chrantia): very evil-looking, warty gourd with
a waxy white outer shell that grows on a vine, grows a bit thicker than
cucumbers. Tastes very bitter but is completely edible and used in some
Asian cooking and considered very healthy. Grows in warm weather.

-Bottle gourds (Lagenaria siceraria): a decorative, non-edible gourd
shaped like a smaller slightly flattened ball sitting on top of a larger
one, growing on a vine. Can be cured and used as decorations. In some
Chinese and Japanese paintings you can see people carrying cured bottle
gourds; those are used as water/wine carriers. Also a plant for warmer
weather.

-Ornamental gourds (Cucurbita pepo): a variety of little squash gourds
of many shapes and colours, perfect for use as paperweights/desk
ornaments. Germinate in 5-7 days at 20-15 degrees centigrade.

-Chinese Cabbage (Brassica sinensis, aka. Bak Choi): delicious vegetable
that is extremely well-suited to the UK's climate. Grows at 10 to 25
centigrade. Becomes more succulent if lightly frosted over winter.
