Default Bare Rooted Hazel

I planted two year old bare rooted hazel whips two years ago as part of a
native plant hedge.(hawthorn, blackthorn, sweet briar, hazel, elder) How old
are they before they start to catkin & fruit or nut? They would be about 6
ft in height and I haven't, as yet, pruned them.

A few years, but I am not sure how many. Hazel flowers fairly
shyly when small.
