Mole deterrants
Hi
I've seen a battery operated device that emits sound waves to deter moles. Does anyone know whether they work or not? And before I get flamed for sending moles onto other peoples land, they will actually just stay (hopefully) out of my garden and go into my surrounding fields where they can do as they please. I am a farmer, of sheep. Like I said, I own the surrounding fields where
they would go to and they can do what they like there. I would like them just to stay out of my garden area!! Polly I have the same situation. In my case, my two cats do the job for me. They keep the garden and the nearest fields free from moles. The nearest mole hills are about 500 yards away. They also help with other small rodents (as do the Jack Russell and the chickens). It seems that rodents don't have many friends. :-) Regards Howard Neil |

The cheapest mole repellant I've heard of it one of those little fancy windmill
things that children play with. Just stick it in the ground and the moles should flee.......allegedly. Dave. |

Thanks for the info. Polly, Whilst I can hear it when I am in their garden - it is not loud. Its a quiet background noise that gets irritating because it is repetative. It may also depend on your hearing range ;) Hmm.... I supose I can hear it from approx 3 - 6 ft distance, you wouldn't notice it further away than that, and definatley not in the house. Sarah |
