grabber rake

a few years ago we bought one of these tools,it proved to be one of the most
usefull tools ever invented,it is operated by a sliding sleeve which travels uo
and down an aluminium shaft which operates two plastic paddles which open and
close picking up bulk leaves or other garden rubbish.
the garden centre we purchased
it from no longer has them and has no details of who supplied them.we have done
some detective work and found from the patent numbers from USA that it was
invented by a chap from weybridge called Henry E Wetherall who assigned the
patent to a firm called Q V Sales Ltd in Sevenoaks Kent, the American patent
office supplied this info for free, when we contacted the UK patent office we
were told a search costs £540.00,if anyone has any knowledge or recollection of
any of this could you help us ?,we are willing if needed to import or buy in
bulk as we can use them in our buisness, thank you all and happy new year.
