last year's chilli plants
My potted chilli plants from last year are still going strong (inside). They
produced a huge crop of chillies so I brought them into the kitchen when it started getting cold ... My question is .... will these plants produce chilli's this year if I keep them going or should I bin them and start again? Best, - h |

My question is .... will these plants produce chilli's this year if I keep them going or should I bin them and start again? The problem is to keep them going all through the winter. They are perennials so will produce chillies next season etc., if you can keep them growing well, but they don't like our long dull and damp winters it seems, and go into a steady decline eventually; well they did for us. After trying a couple of times and failing to keep them in good condition we now start again each year. -- Bob www.pooleygreengrowers.org.uk/ about an Allotment site in Runnymede fighting for it's existence. |
