Default ANNOUNCE: Orchid Talk, Saturday 11th January 2003

The Wessex Orchid Society Presents a Talk on Windowsill Orchids

The Wessex Orchid Society will host a talk on "Windowsill Orchids" by Dr.
Graeme Harrison at its first meeting of the year this Saturday, 11th
January 2003.

The meeting starts at 2pm for 2:30pm, and is being held at Shawford
Village Hall, near Winchester.

Many readers of this newsgroup will have been given orchids as Christmas
presents, and they may not know how to take care of their plants. For
this reason, the Wessex Orchid Society welcomes non-members to this
meeting, particularly those interested in knowing more about these
fascinating plants.

It is a common misconception that orchids need to be grown in
greenhouses, but this is not always true, and many orchids make good
houseplants. At this meeting, Graeme Harrison will tell us how to grow
orchids as houseplants within the home.
