willow && cherry blossom

The message
from "anon." contains these words:

Hello,

I've got a 6 branches/stems of willow sitting in water indoors & they've
taken root.

Q1. Can i now plant these in the garden? Where should i plant them, against
a wall in a sunny spot or against a wall in a partially shaded area? (i've
only got a small garden)

I would pot them at this time of the year and wait until the soil gets
warmer before you put them out-of-doors

Q2. Do i need to cut them back after i plant it so that it grows from just
above ground, how much should i cut off?

Leave yourself a couple of buds above ground, I would think

I've seen some Chinese shops selling what i think are Chinese or Japanese
blossoms, similar to the willow i have but shorter & with pink flowers, can
i do the same with these ie. let them sit in water until they take root &
grow them in the garden?

I don't know about these. If they are cherry, almost certainly not.
Willow is famously easy to root but cherries unfortunately aren't.
Cherry blossom trees are usually grafted for this reason.
