indoor gardening

Last year was my first attempt at gardening, I tried potato,
strawberries and some flowers. We had an abysmal summer here in
Ireland and my garden was a disappointment. This year I thought I
might try indoors with lights - what would give a good yield indoors,
or produce lots of flowers?
Thanks for any advice,
Gerard

It's a lot easier to grow outdoors than indoors - difficult to get the
light right. Try again outdoors, but look for plants that say they will
grow in semi shade - that way you won't get stuck with the real sun-
lovers that want a hot dry summer.

Were you having trouble with slugs? Perennial plants tend to survive a
bit better than annuals.

Try loganberries rather than strawberries - they seem to be a lot
tougher.
