New turf
I have just had some new turf put down and the chap who sdid it said all I
had to do was water it for 30 mins each evening when the ssun had gone off the garden. Is this right ..... ? Doesn't it need some lawn feed.....? Your help most appreciated -- troubleinstore |

Let it settle down and get rooted into your soil first - that's its most important task at the moment. As for watering, the important thing is not to let it dry out until it's well rooted, as before then it's relying on the water held around the roots in the turf itself. It may not be necessary to water every day, though - obviously not on wet days but if it's just dull, it may well remain moist. Water when it needs it. -- Neil Visit my Peak District walking website - www.peakwalking.co.uk |
