Cat problem..
 

I have a row of large conifers 15' or so... the problem is though that the
strip of earth beneath them is be coming a the local cat toilet. I hate the
idea of the kids playing out in the garden and getting covered in all that
nasty stuff!!

Any ideas for keeping the cats away?? Or at least discouraging them from
doing thier business there??

There's ten years of cat problems and methods of getting rid of them here,
we've been over this thousands of times:

'few' times :-))

Much to the utter disgust of the net nannies here, (although I should be on
their kill file so they won't see this)

I have VERY great pleasure in re posting the details of an Electronic Vermin
Scarer which really works.

Put this posting up a while back.


Called the Cat and Dog Repeller, it works off 2 x 9 volt batteries and is
a
small and very portable unit and is easy to hide. It is made by STV
International Ltd 2002 at Little Cressingham in Norfolk

Gives a pulse of ultrasonic wave at a frequency range of 18k.hertz to 24
k.hertz, the lower part of the spectrum 'just' being audible.

So far so good. We will keep you informed

We have a nice clean 'cat crap' free garden !!!!!!!!!!!! :-))

Had it in 3 positions, recharged the batteries 3 times now. They last 10
days to a fortnight even more. But you don't need it in the garden all the
time, the Vermin cat may be stupid, but not stupid enough to keep on coming
in the garden and running off shaking his/her/its head :-))))

Highly recommended

We now have all sorts of birds in our garden and it is cat crap free
:-))))))))))))

By the way, when skinned and cooked they taste like Rabbit, so don't pepper
them tooooooooo much with shot ;-))

I feel its the more humane way to do things.... Cheaper than getting a
silencer for my 22 rifle!! lol plus i'll get more sleep!!

we got ours from our local Hardware store. Cheesed off with the cat crap
problem we had studied the reports and ploblem cases, we decided to do
something about it and go electronic, telephoned the local store and hey
presto, been
super ever since :-)) 3 -4 Months? (Have to be very careful on what I quote
because a certain net nanny, not seen or heard of lately will post
corrections and state that CROWE IS A LIAR)

The trouble with a .22 is that A) you might miss and what will you hit? and

me are sad sods :-)) There is a time and place to be serious, such as a
telephone call I had not 10 minutes ago reference a Memorial Service I am
arranging for the H.M.S.Collingwood Association for those who lost their
lives during WWII so that we could have our 'say now' and not be under the
Swastika.

I've got one of these, bought it from 'charlies stores' (google for it) cost
about £25. Seems to be working, took a week or so before it did, AFAICR it
says the batteries will last 3 months not 10 days and they have been going
about a month now.

Before posting to *any* newsgroup, it is advisable to lurk awhile and
see if the groups is really about what you think it is (to see what I
