Sod all to do with Gardening. (For which the owners will have a go at me)

I have hundreds of friends all over the country and the world. One of them
sent me the following which I think says it all.

The Spirit Within - Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on
inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority,
and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Think about it you people feeding the various bits in the first category and
come over and join me in "cultivating" the second category. (There, got
gardening in)

Well, I only wish you *DID* feed the right one.

Think about it.

I do.

and your problem is?

'Not understanding the meaning of the message. Mike'.

O.K. Would you like me to spell it out for you?

Look outward to helping others, and not being such a Bombastic Pratt as to
think you are better than everybody else. OK? As an example, watch the
newsgroup and see the 'I am the greatest for the Gardening fraternity' and
those who feel they 'OWN' the newsgroup. Watch the 'conversations which
include so many name drops', that it's a wonder the newsgroup doesn't sink
under the weight of amount of OBE's, MBE's, Knighthood's 'we all know don't
you know' and could quite easily go to email, EXCEPT that 'we would not be
impressing people' :-(((((

Indded - judging by what comes out of the Impregnable Ass he seems to
refer to a lot. I'm not sure why people would go to watch spitfires
flying past it though.

When you grow up and become an adult, you may understand. Until then, just
keep doing your homework, and remember you have to be back at school
tomorrow.

And what are you doing on a grown up site like this anyway?

So, just take your own advice for a change. The above 'don't be'
describes you to a T.

Difficult to say if that's intended for me, what with the lack of direct
context. However, all I can really say is "I wish!"

Oh - and better a child than an overweening, pompous hypocrite.

Sorry all - case closed from here
