Hosepipe

Hi, I need to buy a hosepipe that is 250m long. Is there somewhere that I
can buy one, perhaps straight from a factory or something? Price is a
concern to me aswell as I know this could work out expensive.

250m hosepipe?

Are you putting in a perenant supply?

Hose pipe is very expensive for that

50m of 25mm mdpe pipe will cost about £15..

Try emailing Hozelock at . They manufacture locally.

Be careful what you wish for though... without the help of a pump you
won't be able to drive a sprinkler or any other irrigation device off
typical domestic main pressure at 250m distant. In fact, it might not
deliver water at all without the help of gravity.

Not seen any hose (eg. Tricoflex) advertised in more than 100m length.
Connectors are readily available.
The half inch dia stuff is about £50/100m.
I use about 1000m in the nursery - although it is pressurised to 60psi and
not used in a single length.
What is the purpose of your very long pipe ?

You can easily connect two or more lengths of hose together, see:
http://www.hozelock.com/productcatal...watering&regio
n=ROW&hierarchyID=1&hierarchyID2=33&hierarchyID3=3 7

The 2100 9008 Hose Repair Connector would give the strongest join; the
2291 Double Male Connector would work until the hose was put under
tension. Both readily available from your local garden centre.

Thanks for all of your replies. I want to instal a permanant supply to a
piece of land that I have that is 250m away from my garden. If I instal the
mdpe pipe (which seems the cheapest) will I have a decent flow at the othr
end or is there a pump that I can attach to it to help things along.

As I am hoping to get away with doing this as cheap as possible I am hoping
to attach the pipe to an outside tap on my house.
