buyt some lengths of floor board timber. Cut to size. Mine are 3 feet. Glue
and screw together to form a tower. With a hole borer attachment on the
drill bole staggered holes on each side. Make a base or plinth and screw the
tower onto the base. Get some 2 inch diamter plastic pipe from a plumbers.
Drill small holes along its length all around. Place into the centre of the
tower. Start filling with compost, planting throughh the holes as you go.
When you want to water, simply fill the central pipe to the brim with water
which seeps slowly into the compost through the holes you drilled.
Dead simple.
Try tumbler tomatoes, normal hanging plants, strawberries etc.
