Not under £100, but I recently bought a bosch 1600 thingy (£200 ish)
which
is brill. I have shredded all my cutting from my hedge. You might get one
second hand?? It would certainly deal with the stuff you speak of.

It seems e-Bay and my local paper will supply what I need - a more expensive
machine, but one that is beefy enough to do the job and which someone else
has not further need for.
