This photo was taken after I dipped him out of the liquid. I see 6 legs for sure but could have
been 8.

I was in an area where a neighborhood roaming cat likes to sit, in case that's any help.

It's not much of a photo to go on, but it somewhat resembles a lacewing larva. No wings, right?
If so, it's a good bug as it's a voracious predator of aphids.
