Use a wire brush, then 500g of caustic soda in 6ltrs of cold water. Apply
to
the wall with a hand brush. Wear gloves and don't get this stuff on your
skin or in the eyes.

I would strongly emphasise the last. Strong caustic soda in the eye
attacks the cornea and can result in permanent injury with blurred or
distorted vision, or even blindness. Wear goggles or a visor.

Wait for about one hour, then jet wash off.

I used masking tape around the joints on the top stones, then a
narrow trowel for the sand and cement.

I transplanted some bulbs from the ground into posts last month. They are in
the garage. I have noticed some sort of white mould on the soil. Should I
just leave it alone?
