I haven't received any notification from them. It seems odd that they
would be prepared to cancel existing customers... surely the legislation
carries some sort of grandfather clause, otherwise many businesses (not
just NIN) would have to cancel existing contracts?

It affects all transactions for the automated supply of electtronic
services from January 1 2015 and all other transactions from January 1
2016. The law was apparently passed in 2008 but nobody noticed until
about a month ago.
