Default Instant bedding now?

I need to make some bared bits of flower bed look colourful and attractive
for the next two to three months.

Soil is light and dry, a small sloping front garden, more or less West
facing, in a town. Quite light as it is raised above the road by about 4-6
feet.

I can see a lot of bedding plants such as Petunias being "remaindered" at
HomeBase at the moment which suggests that they are coming to the end of
their season.

Bush Fuchsias seem to be part of the newer offerings, also Geraniums/
Perlagoniums not yet in flower.

What would the panel recommend?

Cheers
