Default Storing seed potatoes

"David Hill" wrote

I am saving some of my potatoes as seed and have decided that as they are
all egg sized I will use transparent egg boxes.
One potato to each cell so if there is any rot it wont get transmitted to
surrounding potatoes and with light getting to them they should chit
earlier.

I've always just used a normal seed tray with a little dry potting compost
in the bottom to hold the potatoes upright, place in the light and keep dry
and they seem to sprout well in spring. By the time it comes to plant
usually the roots are growing well in the compost.
