This is weird. They blooms in April as usual, now starting to bloom
again. Never seen this before. So Calif.

Blooming out of season is a common response to stress, ususally stress
from extreme weather.

Thanks, that's good to know. I may have cut back watering too much. I have been wondering if this might be a practical way to keep trees watered without having to water the grass.

I used a post-hole auger -- not a power one but one I had to lean on and
turn by hand -- to sink two holes about 3 feet deep around a tree. I
bought some plastic drain pipe about the diameter of the holes and the
length equal to the depth of the holes plus about 3 inches. I drilled
several 1/2-inch holes near one end of the pipe, which became the bottom
end. After placing the pipes into the holes, I capped them with drain
caps.

I failed to fill the pipes with pea gravel. After a number of years,
dirt filled the pipes. That prevented their further use for irrigation.
Yes, use pea gravel.

Perhaps it was a smart decision for Hillary Clinton to use her
private E-mail server while Secretary of State. According to
current Secretary of State John Kerry, we know that the Russians
and Chinese have hacked the State Department's servers. In the
meantime, a claim by the Romanian hacker known as Guccifer
(Marcel Lehel Lazar) that he hacked into Clinton's E-mail
server proved false.
