Mom weeded the gardens and scraped
three of them.

in her defense they were just stubs
that were still green, but they didn't
have leaves on them much at all.

the other two remaining plants are
taller and had more leaves, but have
recently been nibbled back to just the
central stem. i weeded around them
and said again, "These are plants I
don't want chopped down." they are
in a different location so not in as
much risk of being chopped off now.

i kinda doubt i'll have a crop at all
at this rate. or if i'm lucky a few
seeds. not enough to replace what was
planted.
