The weather is all over the place but it does seem to be getting warmer.

I'm on the East Coast and it seems to be about 5C lower than inland, but I
can't see any frosts coming up.

So what is the guide for when to put outdoor tomatoes out doors?

Having been caught out in the past, grass frost 9th June, I am
reluctant to plant anything out until Chelsea time despite being 17
miles East of London in the Thames Valley. Indeed I only planted the
seeds yesterday.

Yes. I stand by what I said in the Climate FAQ - you simply have to
take a chance and, while earlier planting out does better in good
years, it's a complete failure in some. A cautious approach is to
plant some out 'early' and have a later sowing inside in pots for if
that fails. I am just germinating the seeds, too.

Outside tomatoes simply get blighted with me, so all of mine have SOME
protection, at least until July, when it usually is drier in Cambridge.
