Our pump is in a 5 gal bucket with a 1/2" holes all around the sides of it
it, set on bricks in the bottom of our 7' 'deep well' i.e. old septic tank.
The water has no problem going through. Junk does not get in. Only small
fish go through. Seems to work well.
