Default Ground Wasps

Noticed dozens of ground wasps today in my lawn. How do I get rid of

them
without killing my grass or harming my dog?

Thanks!

I don't know if the ones I'm about to describe are what you have, but
here goes:

A type of wasp known as cicada killer digs tunnels in the ground and
buries a cicada in there as food for its young. You will find many of
these wasps flying around the area where they are making their
tunnels. These wasps are rather large, about 1.5" long, black with
yellow pattern on abdomen. These are your good friends, so don't do
anything to disturb them. They aren't especially aggressive toward
humans, but I guess if they feel threatened they might sting. I have
walked near them many times without being stung.

My only reservation about my proposal is the time of year. Your
message doesn't say where you live. In Missouri, the wasps do their
tunnel thing in mid-summer, so unless you live in a southerly clime
this is way too early.
