Sad to report that bonsai artist and a leader of the American bonsai
community, Marion Gyllenswan of Nanuet, New York passed away this afternoon.

Marion was very active in promoting the National Bonsai and Penjing
Museum at the US National Arboretum in Washington, DC. She was a past
president, president emeritus and very hard loyal worker for bonsai
museum. She was also very active and an organizer, officer and director
of both the Bonsai Society of Greater New York and the American Bonsai
Society.

Here bonsai demonstrations were wonderful as were her trees. She will
surely be missed by everyone who was fortunate to have known her.
