Mow your lawn frequently enough such that no more than 1/3 of the
blade is cut (any more than that will stress the grass). You may need
to mow more frequently following the first rain after fertilizing.
Setting your mower blade height to the highest setting is very
beneficial for deeper roots and fewer weeds.
