Default OK, scratch dry insecticide, do you know what type of rose this is?

Well, good, I hope that is what they are, because they look worse than
they actually are. Some of the best rosarians recommend blasts of
water every other day from when you first see them--then they tend to
disappear.

OK, I hosed them down and will check again tomorrow.
I read the warnings about breathing the Carbaryl and getting it in eyes,
ect... and have a respirator I was going to use. But maybe I'll put
off the dust and do something else.

My first insecticide was powdered, and it just felt wrong. In GA, I'd
be willing to bet you have enough rose eating insects to justify using
Orthenex--and I know you have enough of a fungus problem. (It is a
combination fungicide/insecticide, systemic.) But some (mostly those
in cooler, drier areas than where we live) believe it is akin to
environmenticide to use any "chemicals." As I am sure you know.

We are on the eastern central side of Georgia, just south of Augusta.
A couple of days ago I fertilized my yard and stretched the hose over to the
bushes and used some on them.
Today one of the bushes has opened literally hundreds of flowers.

Lucky you!
