Default I'm Being Attacked By Pests - Help

Help! I've just had a stroll around my garden (after being on holiday for a
couple of weeks) and I've noticed several of my perennials and shrubs have
been attacked.

A hardy geranium has died in the middle and it's covered in both whitefly
and small brown caterpillars. The whitefly are also spreading onto nearby
plants and distorting the growth. I've sprayed it with soap but it's very
difficult to spray the underside of all the leaves. So, is the geranium
worth trying to save or should I just dig it up and throw it away?

Also, the leaves on my young kolomitka have been chewed. I can't see any
insects on it. The leaf damage could be vine weevil or earwigs (or
something else?). I'm considering digging up the plant to check for vine
weevil grubs but I'm afraid digging it up would harm it more than the vine
weevil. So, should I dig it up or should I just throw chemicals at it and
hope for the best?

Any and all advice grateful, thanks.
