Default Strange Spots on Leaves

These are photos of different scale insects.
Probably the last one is close to what you describe.

Just a guess could it be scale insects?
Can you scrap them off at all?
Do the spots yellow after a while?

Hi friends,

I am lucky to have a couple of cattleyas in Central Europe (equiv to

climate
and conditions in Conn. USA). Unfortunately all of them develop

strange
whitish spots on their leaves, rough to touch, similiar to what i

would
imagine a fungus. I generally spray them once a day to keep humidity

up
at
a
level of 60 - 80%.

My question is now, can this be a virus (affects only the cattleyas) ?

Or
is
it just too humid for them ?
Please help. Thanks in advance

Rgds
