" Went yesterday.. my mum was there today though.. Oh well..

Was a LOT quieter than I remember it.. IS it me or was it not also
called the 'London' Garden show the first year... They had an extra
hall with low lighting featuring a LOT more outdoor furniture and
lanterns/ BBQ's etc.. quite an efffect as you 'entered the main hall
through this..

THis year however it was a lot smaller.. Only the great hall as show
with 1 half plnats other half the ususal 'stuff'.

I will put up some photo's soon;-).. I was particularly impressed with
the tulip specialists.. Nice timing for them after Monty Don's little
bit on Fri night..

Did you buy anything Jim?

Natalie

LOL;-)... Did I?? Hold me back!-)....

Got a rather nice clematis 'Mooshine', some small Narcissi, 1 Hardy
Fuchsia 'Preston Guild' and a Rheum. Avoided replacing the tree fern..
1 because they were very expensive.. I will probably pick one up at a
future Fouroaks or something,.. 2 because they need a bit more care
than I have time for at the mo.

Now I just need to get out there and dig and plant all this stuff;-))

Re the smaller number of exhibitors.. I think it may be partly 'cos
Ally Pally is 'out of the way' compared to some other venues and
secondly due to the cost for the exhibitors.. We had a friend showing
there the 1st 2 years and for a small operation like his it isn't
cheap..
