The last thing a cat wants to do is get even a drop of water anywhere
on his body let alone their paws. You need to understand cats a bit
and you'll know you don't need to worry here. Raccoons - yes.

Two of our three cats PLAY in water. They aren't interested in fish, but
water fascinates them.
