Default Cheapie mini roses

My boyfriend brought home a mini rose bush, about 4 inches tall and looking
really sickly (he got it from my stepbrothers office bathroom where it was
dying, my stepbrother said, give it to your partner, he's got a green
thumb - Yeah right!). So anyway, he brought it home and I decided to plant
this tiny little bush in the yard since I just coulndt get it to rejuvinate
itself in the container.

Well, here it is a year later, and this bush is now 21/2 feet tall, and the
only rose bush in our garden that blooms the entire season, that is to say
once it's bloomed the blooms stay on it until winter, granted they fade from
bright yellow to white by wintertime. But Im astonished. I dont feed any
of my roses, and I dont prepare my rose beds, I just dig a hole in the
ground and plonk them down in it, give them water when it's dry and I have
rose bushes that are over 7 feet tall every year and over 4 to 5 feed wide.

Hmmmm go figure.

Now if I could get my tulips to last more than 3 weeks in bloom Id be
stoked.

Just thought I'd share. My first post.

: Hi people,
: I was trying to buy some giant tropical plants for dirt cheap at one of

: "florist" plants but I was hoping I could harden them off and plant them
in
: the ground as I've done with all the others I've had over the years. I'm

a

: the roses can take a little acid without croaking. Any suggestions about
